  Project 1 / Prototype Design

Objective:
The first part of the continuous task. You will focus on creating a UI design prototype for your digital resume or curriculum vitae (CV) using prototyping software such as Adobe XD or Figma. The UI design prototype will showcase the layout, visual elements, and user interface interactions of your digital resume.

Requirements:
1. Content and Structure:
- Prepare resume content including personal details, educational background, work experience, skills, projects and other related parts.
- Decide on the order and hierarchy section based on its importance and relevance.

2. Layout and Visual Design:
- Design the layout of your digital resume using the prototyping software of your choice. Define where the different parts are and how they flow together.
- Apply a consistent visual design using typography, colour palette, and appropriate spacing.

3. Section and Organization:
Organize your resume into logical sections, such as "Profile," "Education," "Experience," "Skills," "Projects," and "Contact."
Prioritize each section based on its relevance and importance to your target position.

4. Visual Elements:
Incorporate relevant images, icons, or placeholders that match the content and enhance the visual appeal of your digital resume.

5. Prototype Presentation:
Update your ePortfolio to explain and demonstrate the flow of tasks.

I came out with 5 sketches of my digital resume prototypes:

Then I proceeded to Figma and started to digitize my resume. For the resume's visual style, I decided to design a simplistic and retro style interface design. I simply arranged the layout so that I could organise the other contents without going off the track.

This column I filled in with my introduction and my contact information.

The right side will be my career timeline.

And here are the skills and abilities columns.

Resume Version 1.0 :

Mr. Shamsul said that it was good to go, however, I need to put more detailed information regarding the skills, like showing the proficiency level in each skill. In addition, works can also be placed inside.

For sir's suggestions, I added the proficiency level.

Besides, I rearranged the career timeline. The career timeline was originally line dots, but I changed it to a cross element because I had already drawn a middle line. If the career timeline also used line dots, it would create a sense of overlap and may create visual conflict. So I changed it, and it does look much better.

I extended my resume since I needed to place my work.

WEEK 5:

WEEK 6:
  General
The resume needs to look professional, although it should not be overly complex. And also pay attention to the alignment of the layout. Besides, for the experience part, you can write about clubs or activities you have participated in before.
  Specific
Overall looks good, but you need to add more details on your skills, such as the proficiency level of each software skill. Additionally, you can put your work inside your resume, it can be thumbnails or somewhat else.

 Reflection

At first, I was a little uncomfortable using Figma since it was my first time using it. But fortunately, I got used to it as Figma is not as difficult as I thought. In this particular project,  our CV visual design style must be related to our chosen specialization, and I chose UIUX. Thus, I tried to combine what I have learned from the Exercises, especially from the web replication practice. Not only that, I also tried to strike a balance between a simple yet professional look while avoiding complicated designs. However, through this project, I not only learned Figma, but also consolidated my knowledge and experience in designing web pages. Overall, it is good.
