We are going to learn how to do editing in Premiere Pro. Firstly, download the videos provided by Mr Martin.



Then rearrange the footages in the correct order.

To consolidate your learning, answer the following questions by dividing into two parts:
1. Lalin
2. Everything, Everywhere, All At Once


1. Which part is act 1, act 2, and act 3 respectively? Describe each act with ONE paragraph only.
Lalin:
Act 1:
Larin encounters school bullies because her face is covered with acne, which makes her determined to move to Japan. After arriving in Japan, she began retouching her selfies and posting them on social media, so she became a net idol.
Act 2:
She met a new netizen, Astronaut, through social media. They gradually became good friends. Astronaut then flew to Japan and decided to meet Lalin in a cafe.
Act 3:
When Astronaut reached there, Lalin didn't want to meet him as she felt appearance anxiety. So Astronaut leaves, but he still leaves her a novel. After Lalin read the novel. she realised that Astronaut had known her many years ago and had a crush on her, she quickly chaise him but lastly failed.

Everything, Everywhere, All At Once:
Act 1:
Evelyn has many conflicts with her family. Her husband wants a divorce and her daughter is a lesbian. One day they go to the IRS, the Alpha Waymond contacts Evelyn to tell her about the multiverse and what crisis she will face. Then he teaches her how to use verse jumping.
Act 2: 
Jobu finally finds Evelyn, and Evelyn tries to against Jobu. In the meantime, she becomes familiar on using verse jumping. Every time she connected to another universe, she gradually solved the conflicts between herself and her husband, and she began to release the knot in her heart.
Act 3:
Evelyn ultimately faces Jobu, and successfully reconciles with her daughter.

2. What is the inciting incident in the movie?
Lalin:
Lalin makes a new friend after she becomes a net idol.
Everything, Everywhere, All At Once:
The Alpha Waymond warns Evelyn of the grave danger to the multiverse. The Alpha fighters need her help.

3. What is the midpoint scene in the movie?
Lalin:
Astronaut flies to Japan and wants to meet Lalin in real life.
Everything, Everywhere, All At Once:
Evelyn and Alpha Waywond meet with Alpha Gong Gong in an office room discussing how to against Jobu.

4. What is the Climax in the movie?
Lalin:
Lalin quickly chaise for Astronaut but failed.
Everything, Everywhere, All At Once:
Evelyn embraces every version of herself in the multiverse and pulls back her daughter from the darkness. 

5. What is the theme of the movie?
Lalin:
Don't be appearence anxiety.
Everything, Everywhere, All At Once:
A story about family conflicts but fortunately in the end they understand each other.

For the self-shooting exercise, look carefully at the Medium Closed-Up Shot, which should be closer to your objective. You can refer to the reference I have given in Google Slides.

WEEK 3
Try to shorten the Lalin video to 35 sec. For the Q&A section, rethink Act 2, which part do really change Lalin's life? Besides, the theme means what the movie wants to express, do not mix with the purpose.
